Welcome to the world Amayra! She was the best baby for her newborn session. She did such a great job and slept through most of it really well! Her parents decided on a palette of purple, deep pink, white, and brown, which turned out to be a wonderful choice for her. She looked beautiful in all of her sets.
As a photographer, I absolutely love newborn sessions because every baby has their own unique personality and charm. Amayra was no exception. She was very expressive and her sweet smile made my heart melt. I started the session with her wrapped in the deep pink in a heart bowl with flowers and you can see how content she was in that set with her cute smile peeping through. I always warm up each set with a heating pad prior to the baby coming in so that it is very comfortable for them and they slip into a deep sleep.
I then moved from that to the lavender set on the adorable white bed. Lavender looked so good on her! It really brought out the warmth in her skin tones and she smiled in that set as well! Baby smiles really are the best.
I moved from that to the crate with the deep burgundy. I moved very slowly soothing her the whole time so she wouldn't startle. It is really an art to working with newborns and I do everything I can to keep them calm, sleepy, and comfortable so they stay safe in the sets.
Next, were the parent poses and those were heart-meltingly precious. Amayra looked like a little princess cradled in her parent's arms. The love and tenderness in their eyes as they held their precious baby girl were truly heartwarming. First-time parents have a way of bonding with their child during the session that is unmistakable. The way they gazed at her was as if they were promising to protect her from the world and cherish every moment together was just everything.
After parent poses were done, I shot a couple of ones of her in pink for composites and they were so cute I got a couple of extras just in case her parents liked the set and wanted some of them.
Then, she had a bit to eat and then settled into her white footed romper with the nighty cap on my soft pink blanketed backdrop. Is that not the most precious thing you've ever seen? I love sleepy baby poses in the romper.
Then, we did parent hand poses which were so, so cute.
Then, I wrapped her in a gorgeous dark brown wrap which perfectly complemented her skin tone and made her look even more cuddly and lovable. She is seen smiling in her little basket pose. Can you resist smiling at that? Gah, it is so, so cute!
As a photographer, capturing these precious moments is what I live for. It's not just about taking pictures; it's about creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
To all my readers, I hope this blog post brought a smile to your faces, just like Amayra's smiles did for us during the session. Babies are pure magic, and they have a way of brightening even the darkest of days.
