Let me tell you, fur-ever friends come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes, they come with four tiny legs and a wagging tail. This past week, my studio was brightened by the most pawsome trio: a lovely woman named Kellie and her two rescued Chihuahuas, Chimi and Noodle.
Now, Kellie wasn't here for your run-of-the-mill pet portraits (although, don't get me wrong, I love those too!). She came prepared with a whole closet full of the most adorable pet costumes I've ever seen! We're talking Star Wars, Batman and Robin, even some spooky Halloween get-ups.
These little chihuahuas were absolute troopers, sporting each outfit with surprising aplomb. Chimi, the sweet little brown one, was such a patient girl and adorned her outfits with grace. Noodle, on the other hand, was abused previously and had a broken jaw and no teeth, peed on the floor, and snarled and tried to bite at both of us but seemed to calm down after a while. I think he realized we weren't trying to hurt him.
Of course, no pet photoshoot is complete without some mommy-and-me shots. Kellie and her babies cuddled up for some heartwarming portraits that truly captured the love between them.
By the end of the session, the studio floor was littered with tiny outfits(courtesy of Chimi and Noodle) and my face was aching from smiling so much. These three were an absolute joy to work with, and the photos we captured are nothing short of pawsome!
If you're looking for some inspiration to add a little fun to your next pet photoshoot, take a page out of Kellie's book! Who knows, maybe your furry friend has a hidden talent for rocking a superhero cape or a ballerina tutu.
