Welcome to the world little Dalia!
She did so well for her in-home newborn session. She was the cutest, sweetest baby an, boy, did she poop a lot! I got the cutest expressions of her pooping which she did in every setup although she seemed quite comfortable so it must have been just a teenie bit every time.
She was so happy in her parent's hands! That's when I got the cutest smiles out of her. Doesn't she look like such a baby doll on that black backdrop?
Her mama said she booked me because she loved the photos on my website and that always makes me so happy to hear! I'm glad she loves my style, poses, and setups.
We went through the final photos together and when she got to the one of Dalia on the shelf with the bears she said "Oh my god, this is just the cutest! How did you edit her picture to be less 'poop face'?" I laughed and told her I made her face less red (her face was really red) and softened her expression a little. She's still unmistakably pushing one out but it is soooooo cute! If I was her mom, I would DEFINITELY hang that one up on the wall.
I also added a little photoshop to the onesie she had laying on her in the basket pose. The onesie had been her baby announcement and she had come a bit earlier than expected so I crossed out the May and put March underneath. The bowls and onesie were her mama's props.
In the spa baby pose, she's holding another prop mama wanted her photos, it's a traditional calabash gourd from her parent's Syrian culture. Both of her parents are from Syria and they were both the sweetest, most hospitable people and so cute and loving to each other. I really enjoyed working with them in their home for this in-home session!
As a side note, I love incorporating cultural items into sessions so if you have anything special you want to include, just let me know!
