Sonora's Mini Newborn Session - Suwanee, GA

I've photographed a lot of newborns in my time. Some are big, some are small, but none have quite captured my heart quite like little Sonora. At just 3 weeks old, she was a mere 5 pounds 7 ounces. Can you believe it? She was so tiny and cute.

She was a dream to photograph!

I wanted to make the session a little extra special since her mama mentioned she was adopted and that truly warms my heart when people adopt babies and one of my favorite childhood movies is Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. The main character? Sonora. So, when I found out I was photographing a baby named Sonora, I knew I had to do something special so I bought a little horse and she posed peacefully on it.

We also captured some more traditional newborn photos. She was a natural in front of the camera when she was awake and made some of the cutest facial expressions. 

I can't wait to watch her grow and change. And who knows? Maybe one day she'll be riding a real horse!
