This Native American themed jiu jitsu shoot was for a calendar for Girl-Jitsu that they do every year to get more women involved in jiu jitsu.
Julia was my model and she was a brown belt in jiu-jitsu (now a black belt) training BJJ out of RPBJJ out of Atlanta. She chose to represent her Native American roots for this calendar with a gorgeous Indian headdress. She also wore a stark white Fenom Kimono gi. They make gis specifically for women.
This was taken in Marietta, GA at a park that I absolutely love (shhhhhh...it's my favorite park in Marietta but I keep it a secret so it doesn't get too much foot traffic! I'll tell you if you want to book a session with me there.)
Having trained jiu jitsu myself for 12 years, it's a sport that is near and dear to my heart and I often encourage women and young girls to try it because it teaches great self defense.
If you're interested in a themed sport session or a cosplay session, feel free to reach out to me via the contact page! I would love to work with you. It's sessions like these that I love to do for the creative aspect of it!
Session date: Summer of 2017
